William and Sidney Hughes built and lived in Plas Bodfa with their two (three?) children Gwladys and Sidnah (Sydnah?) Hughes.
The Hughes were listed as members of Anglesey Antiquarian Society and Field Club in the 1928, 1929 and 1930 Transactions publications. They are listed as “Hughes, Mrs W. O., Plas Bodfa, Llangoed.”
Sindey Hughes was involved in the 1923 Welsh Women's Petition, collecting signatures in Llangoed and the surrounding region
Sidney Mary Hughes died suddenly on October 2nd 1939 at Plas Bodfa.
Mary (Betty’s mother) and Jenny Jones worked as a maids. They were cousins.
Mr. Williams was the first head gardener.
Lewis family living in the Lodge, working as gardner and groundskeeper.
Bryn Llewelyn used to be part of Bodfa.
Ray Bitticum used to work with Mr. Lewis at at Bodfa.
They gave away buttermilk to the neighbour children.
