Stargazing with the Anglesey Astronomical Society


We are celebrating Welsh Dark Skies Week stargazing and astronomical brainstorming evenings as we develop plans and future projects for our community observatory.

Our stargazing nights on February 22nd and March 2nd are full.

If the weather is good, we will be adding more sessions during the week of March 24th.

Additional Information for attendees

  • Free parking available on site

  • Toilets are available

  • All ages welcome, however we ask that under 16s be accompanied by a responsible adult

  • Feel free to bring your own telescopes and astrophotography equipment

  • Accessibility: The Observatory area, car park, and toilets are all accessible via sloping concrete pathways and ramps.

  • Red lights - in order to preserve night vision for yourself and other users, red lighting is used on site, please consider bringing red-light head torches such as this 

  • We will be taking photographs for our social media.  If this is an issue at all, please inform someone as soon has you arrive.
