Plas Bodfa’s grounds include a mixed-apple orchard along the drive, four Worcester Pearmain trees in the paddock and over twenty Bramley trees along the side of the 5-acre field. All well established and productive, we are learning the processes of cider making, pasteurisation, dehydration, storing and so many other ways to use and share our apples.
In 2022 we invested in a pasteuriser, a hydro-press and large apple crusher (scratter) so we have the capacity to process all the fruits on-site. In the 2022 season we pasteurised 250 litres of apple juice and 230 litres of cider!
