Paintings derived from the decorative facades of Welsh Chapels, often incorporating their names and dates of construction. The Visage song 'Fade to Grey' was ringing in Jones’ ears while painting them, as many of the Chapels are declining and slowly fading away.

About Artist Multiples

Artist multiples are a series of objects produced in small and limited editions. They can be created by an artist, a maker, a crafts-person or any kind of creative person. Creating a numbered set of multiples is especially useful when using production techniques that are not viable for producing one-off pieces, for example printing, laser cutting or casting.

The objects can be functional, sculptural, wearable, gift-able or hangable. They are made specifically for sale and are offered at an affordable price to encouraging distribution to a wide audience. Historically, multiples were seen as an alternative and more democratic means of creating and disseminating artwork, outside of the mainstream art market.
