Inspired by Anglesey’s Lighthouses, these hand coloured lino prints are testament to their form and function. Integral to each image are their unique characteristics as they appear in the "List of Lights". This international document is vital to the safety of shipping, even in this high-tech age.

About Nicola Carter

Nicola Carter is a new Liverpool based artist and recently retired NHS doctor. The use of text as part of image making interests me and I hope adds a different take on this celebration of Anglesey Lighthouses.

About Artist Multiples

Artist multiples are a series of objects produced in small and limited editions. They can be created by an artist, a maker, a crafts-person or any kind of creative person. Creating a numbered set of multiples is especially useful when using production techniques that are not viable for producing one-off pieces, for example printing, laser cutting or casting.

The objects can be functional, sculptural, wearable, gift-able or hangable. They are made specifically for sale and are offered at an affordable price to encouraging distribution to a wide audience. Historically, multiples were seen as an alternative and more democratic means of creating and disseminating artwork, outside of the mainstream art market.
