Opening Party
We hosted a zoom meeting with 48 participants!
A digital reenactment of an exhibition opening, minus the exhibition.
Generally during such events there are moments of group activity as well as smaller, more intimate conversations around the drinks table, in a corner, or outside. This is how we arranged our video gathering.
There were dance sessions, a circus performance, poetry readings, a tour of the house and a virtual DJ for the whole group. We had two 10 minute randomised small group breakout sessions so the participants could chat amongst themselves in groups of four. We also had a ’show and tell’ session, so the participants could share something with the group. It was a good bit of digital chaos which did work to solidify the group and set us off on our year-long experiment.
