'Membrane II, III, IV and V' Sian Hughes
Silk and liquid latex have been used to pick up details and fragments of brick, stone, plaster, mortar, sand and charcoal in an exposed wall of Plas Bodfa. Reminiscent of geological strata, the ambient light reveals the suspended materials in the fragile membrane of silk and latex.
Over the past several weeks, the latex has been layered on onto the silk which was hung like wallpaper on the exposed wall. The lengths were peeled off and hung in front of the stained glass window in the stairway at Plas Bodfa.
