'Slow Music' Jonathan Lewis
No skipping forward, no random play, no headphones, a 1980's music centre serves as a gathering point, an opportunity to play music as the musicians intended, as an album. This work was meant as an interactive, immersive installation for the guests, who were to browse the records or bring an album from their home.
Even though the exhibition never opened, this work has come to fruition, albeit for a much different audience. This area has been appropriated by the Lewis family as a seed sprouting zone, amongst and around the music center that was there, ready for the show.
