'Handwoven Banners' Rosie Green

Return to Unus Multorum 2020

hand-spun cotton and linen yarn, natural Japanese earth dyes
2020

The yarn in these weavings is hand-spun on an Indian style book charkha and dyed with earth dyes from Japan. It is handwoven on a simple SAORI loom, the design inspired by the lath and plaster, brick and beams found exposed throughout Plas Bodfa.  The designs started as mere ideas of shape and structure; lath and plaster, brick, Natural materials and colours. The weaving itself is structure - threads, one of many, shapes, one of many.

Available for your own home, Rosie has created ‘Handwoven Cushions’. Available here.
