'Land of Aprons - pinny, plot and play' Usha Mahenthiralingam

Return to Unus Multorum 2020

Footage 2006-2008. Edited in 2019
film, site specific installation, cotton, mixed media.

This installation is a tribute to the artists’ Gran, who always donned an apron as she sewed and sowed, cooked and stirred with the seasons. The symbol of the apron has passed through the generations, to the artists’ mum and then on to her.
