About
• Plas Bodfa Objects is a collection of limited edition creations from artists, makers, musicians, thinkers and creative people of all sorts.
• Plas Bodfa Objects was supposed to have launched within our Unus Multorum exhibition, during the infamous spring of 2020. Unable to open our doors to a physical audience, we launched the project online, selling the artist multiples on our website. This is our way of supporting the artists when their exhibitions, fairs and markets have been postponed or cancelled.
• The Objects embrace the idea of multiplicity and repetition, exploring what is (and isn’t) possible to duplicate, challenging the difference between ‘same’ and ‘similar’.
• In the future (when such things are possible again) the project can travel to cultural spaces, art fairs and alternative places. The multiples can form an exhibition, occupy a house, inhabit a booth or be placed in an alternate virtual dimension. They could become a performance or a poem.
• Plas Bodfa Objects is a project of Plas Bodfa and Julie Upmeyer.
Packing
We use environmentally friendly packing solutions, purchased from UK-based distributors whenever possible. We use the Ranpak Geami WrapPak plastic-free eco-friendly 3D honeycomb wrapping system. Its really beautiful as well.
We believe in supporting our local economy. We use the national Royal Mail for UK and international shipments with all packages being sent via our local post office within the village shop in Llangoed.

About Artist Multiples
Artist multiples are a series of objects produced in small and limited editions. They can be created by an artist, a maker, a crafts-person or any kind of creative person. Creating a numbered set of multiples is especially useful when using production techniques that are not viable for producing one-off pieces, for example printing, laser cutting or casting.
The objects can be functional, sculptural, wearable, gift-able or hangable. They are made specifically for sale and are offered at an affordable price to encouraging distribution to a wide audience. Historically, multiples were seen as an alternative and more democratic means of creating and disseminating artwork, outside of the mainstream art market.
